During your stay at New York-New York, we hope you will make time to visit our tribute to the heroes of 9/11. Committed to respectfully preserving the thousands of articles thoughtfully left in the front of our resort after the tragic day's events, we built a permanent tribute for them located at the base of our Statue of Liberty replica. The tribute is a granite structure with shadow boxes encasing just some of the many heartfelt artifacts and items for your remembrance.

Among the cherished items collected are:

• T-shirts pinned with handwritten notes
• T-shirts with fire stations' insignia
• Handwritten letters and notes from volunteer firefighters
• Flowers
• Flags
• T-shirts bearing police departments' insignia
• Poems
• Pictures of family and friends
• Candles
• Plaques
• Sweatshirts with pictures of victims
• Cards
• Badges from rescue workers

Items not displayed in our tribute were archived and stored at the Special Collections Department at the University of Nevada Las Vegas Library where they receive museum-quality preservation storage.
